Laguna Negra & Bardenas Reales
These two locations could not be any more different. One, Laguna Negra, is a frozen winter wonderland, with almost knee-deep snow on the way, with howling winds and -3 degrees on the path leading to the hidden lake, situated between black cliffs, at the top of a mountain. The other, Bardenas Reales, is a true geological desert, only 70 km from the Pyrenees. I visited them both in one day, in less than 12 hours. Which goes to show just how incredibly diverse Spain is.
